Contemporary dancer and proprietress of Imagneto Dance company, Kafaya Safau, is said to have fixed June 2 for her wedding to drummer and music director with P-square, Joseph Ammeh. E-Punch sources say they are due to get married at the Bespoke Centre, Lekki, Lagos. While the dancer did not reply E-Punch’s email and text messages, to confirm the veracity or otherwise of the story, it was gathered that Joseph’s parents, who had initially kicked against the union, might have had a change of mind especially as the couple now have a baby.
The Guinness World record holder put to bed a baby boy last December. News of a relationship had been swirling round the duo since 2010 but when her pregnancy became obvious, the denials ceased. And they now seem set to legalise their union.
